Progress report #3

Progressreport3

Have been doing a load of stuff since #2: Exhaust, ignition, shocks, cleaning the tank, making door panels. Had some fuel pump worries: The old one gave up so I needed a quick replacement. Instead of ordering one from Mac's Auto Parts I bought one from a local dealer, it was the same pump anyway but without the waiting. It didn't work though, so I got it replaced. The second pump had two holes in the casing, it got sent back as well. Pump three was a used one in good condition, worked like a charm. For the first time, the car now starts right away. Nice.

Took a spin on the parking lot. It obviously sits differently than it did in the garage, as the final bend of the exhaust pipe now sits solidly atop the panhard bar. The panhard bar also need to be shortened half an inch as the lowering pushed the rear axle to the right. One more month or so of fixing, and it may hopefully be ready for inspection. Can't wait.
