It's a tiny, tiny world

We are on the way to Bob's Big Boy Burgers in Burbank for the friday night cruise. Tom is driving Diana's Studebaker and we are talking about my newly purchased Ford. He asks me if it is a coupe or sedan. I say it's a sedan. Tom tells me his father owned a 1946 Ford sedan for over twenty years but sold it a few years ago. We talk a bit about its present state, and how it used to look when his father had it.

That's when Tom tells me it was flamed by car painter Larry Watson, and that it was on the cover of Rod & Custom.

I just couldn't believe what I heard. The same car that had been an inspiration for me since I was fourteen years old, was a part of my new friends' family history. Paths can cross in the most amazing ways.
